Atol Defrost Duct

Textile defrost ducts allow for more effective, shorter processes of air cooler declassification. When the air cooler is switched off and the cooler fan is not working, a short textile duct (without a bottom) mounted on the fan collector falls down, thus covering the fan outlet. The air heated by electric heaters is blocked in the air cooler chamber, which results in faster defrosting of the unit itself. The fans are turned on again and the defrosting is completed, which will cause the short textile duct to rise up, not limiting the air flow.

The ducts for air cooler defrosting are equipped with a diameter reduction, which increases the range of air from the radiator.
