Foil air ducts are a recent alternative to textile ducts. Their function is to provide an even fresh air supply through perforation. They can serve as a permanent ventilation system or can be used as service ducts when the textile ducts are being washed. The foil duct has a high stability, retains its shape within the air velocity range of 2.5÷7.5 m/s, which provides a much wider range of air capacity than the textile duct.
The ducts are made of flame retardant, antistatic LDPE film in white colour. They have a non-flammability classification from Building Research Institute and a hygienic certificate from National Institute of Hygiene.
The foil ducts have a constant diameter on their entire length. The following diameters are available: Ø315, Ø400, Ø445, Ø630, Ø825. A lock is sewn at the beginning of the channel and the duct is welded at the end. With the lock, it is connected to the textile section (any diameter), which is then attached to the steel pipe with a clamp. Due to the fact that the foil is a lightweight product, it is sufficient to mount it on one line, regardless of the diameter. It is also possible to mount on two lines, if necessary. The number of tapes mounting the duct to the rope is much smaller, which makes mounting easier.
The waiting time for foil ducts is half the time and the cost is half as low as for textile ducts.
