Reinforcement of textile ducts

Reinforcement of textile ducts

Textile duct reinforcements are recommended in the case of local air velocity overruns in the duct. Examples of this occurrence are: large knees with a diameter of more than 650mm, air collectors located at air coolers or air outlets at connections with steel ducts and high velocity air supply equipment (above 8 m/s). In these areas we can observe strong waving - vibrations of the ducts, which in consequence may cause breaking of the carrying lines and snap hooks, as well as throttling air flow.

This problem is solved by introducing additional stiffening rings, the aim of which is to maintain the circularity of the duct's shape, leveling the vibrations of the textile duct's shell and keeping the air flow section constant. These additional stiffeners do not limit the possibility of washing and disassembling the ducts.
